Successful emergency simulation in Romania

On July 9, 2025, Hamburger Recycling Romania carried out a comprehensive fire emergency simulation and first aid training exercise at both our Cluj depot and headquarters. This vital initiative was made possible through the collaboration with the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Avram Iancu” – Cluj and SMURD emergency medical services.

The scenario simulated a fire outbreak in the raw materials processing area, where a victim was trapped inside the processing hall. The exercise tested our employees’ reaction time, their ability to alert emergency services, and how quickly and effectively intervention teams could respond. We also verified the functionality of our safety systems, including the fire alarm system in the office building, external hydrants, and fire extinguishers. A key objective was to ensure our staff remained calm and acted with clear judgment under pressure.

All colleagues from Cluj and the Headquarters actively participated in the drill. Their engagement demonstrated strong teamwork and a shared commitment to safety and preparedness.

Once the simulation concluded, our teams received practical first aid training. This session focused on how to properly assist a victim in an emergency and administer first aid with confidence and care.

By organizing this event, we reaffirmed our commitment to workplace safety, proactive emergency response, and continuous training for our people. A big thank-you to our partners and all our colleagues who helped make this exercise a success.
