The companies of Prinzhorn Group have a long tradition.

1853 Wilhelm Hamburger founded a papermill (W. Hamburger) in Pitten, Austria
1866 Anton Mosburger founded a corrugated plant in Vienna, Austria
1912 Johann Rieger founded a papermill in Trostberg, Germany
1959 W. Hamburger acquired Mosburger
1972 Thomas Prinzhorn took over the management of W.Hamburger, as CEO
1989 Rieger family sold their company to W. Hamburger
1990 Mosburger acquired 40% of Dunapack shares in Hungary and fully took over in 1995 which triggered the expansion to Eastern Europe
1995 Mosburger fully acquired Dunapack
2007 Hamburger Recycling Group was founded to collect secondary raw materials and provide the papermills with waste paper
2013 Cord Prinzhorn was appointed as CEO
2013 Dentaş Ambalaj was acquired in Turkey
2021 Newly established Management Board formed by three divisional managing directors and CFO
